USIS refines its business into four strong service lines
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 8, 2009 – USIS, an Altegrity company, the largest commercial provider of security investigation services to the federal government, as well as a premier supplier of specialized training programs in the U.S. and overseas, has stepped up its growth plans by expanding into four distinct service line areas. This positions the company to better reflect its standing as a broad security services and solutions-based business intent on providing comprehensive results for its government and commercial clients.
USIS is now comprised of four divisions:
• The Investigations Services Division – Division President Chris Tillery oversees federal, state, and local background investigations, fraud investigations, and site visits. “My focus is to maintain our best-in-class operations and sustain our customer-driven culture,” said Mr. Tillery, who added that he will work with other USIS divisions to develop solutions for the security industry.
• The Security Solutions Division – Division President Michael Fraser heads up physical and personnel security, investigative analytics, information security services, facility security services, and security convergence. “We will achieve our goals through delivery of customer-first, mission-oriented solutions and a relentless pursuit of perfection,” said Mr. Fraser.
• The Training and Law Enforcement Division – Division President Lanny Bernier will lead in the areas of police training, surveillance detection, mentor/adviser, security consulting, international development (nation building). “Our Division reflects an increased USIS strategic focus on providing security and infrastructure support for post-conflict countries as well as failed or failing states,” said Mr. Bernier. “This support can consist of training of security infrastructure such as the police and corrections personnel or assisting governmental entities in the design of programs for the reduction and elimination of rampant corruption.”
• The Information Management Division – Division President Mike Santelli will preside over this service line that will carry forward the reputable Labat name and business of servicing government customers in the area of litigation support, with additional business focus on records management, screening and data entry, and mailroom services. “We will continue down a path of investing in and building out a robust Information Management business with a focus on leadership, IT capabilities, and providing supreme customer service to our clients,” Mr. Santelli said.
According to USIS President and CEO William Mixon, the business’ strategic plan for 2010 truly reflects the diverse capabilities in USIS. “This strategy is designed around our resources and talents. We have integrated the experience, skills, and capabilities of our employees and optimized our functions, creating a larger, stronger organization to provide the best cross-functional solutions for our customers.”
